Hello.
I have a question about some Intel(R) specific drivers...

After building new PC I had some problems with Windows versions and gaming performance so I was forced to reformat my PC many times (problem was just wrong Windows version installed, problems solved now).

I was always using DriverEasy software to update some Intel(R) drivers and I've noticed that after updating some of them, Youtube videos quality drastically improves by being less blurry at 1080p quality and text font quality got improved too (some sort of antialiasing effect I've noticed, noticable at larger font sizes). Sadly, I've already forgotten which driver done that.

But before my latest PC formatting, I've read opinions about DriverEasy that got me worried... 99,99% of opinions that this tool is a dangerous bloatware and it can install wrong driver for You so I've didn't updated anything with this tool right now.

So I've only updated my drivers from hardware components CD discs and then latest ones from official websites (AsRock, Nvidia, AOC), tried Intel update tool too but it didn't found anything to update.

I have AssRock Fatal1ty B250 Gaming K4 motherboard, Intel i5 7500 and GTX 1060 6GB. Windows 10 Pro x64

The drivers which I was updating and seen quality improvement mentioned already after that are:

Intel(R) Xeon(R) E3 - 1200/1500 v5/6th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) PCIe Controller (x16) - 1901
Intel(R) Xeon(R) E3 - 1200 v6/7th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) Host Bridge/DRAM Registers - 591F
Intel(R) 200 Series Chipset Family PCI Express Root Port #5 - A294
Intel(R) 200 Series Chipset Family PCI Express Root Port #9 - A298
Intel(R) 200 Series Chipset Family LPC Controller (B250) - A2C8
Intel(R) 200 Series Chipset Family PMC - A2A1

I have version 10.1.1.38 of every of those listed drivers
The new version up to date is 10.1.1.40

So...
Is it safe to update those drivers?
Could I break anything by installing it from DriverEasy?
Can't find anything precise about them in googles.

The graphics quality improvement is welcome, but I'm worried about PC safety too...

Thanks.

Solution
Using Driver Easy to constantly update your drivers is inadvisable. However It isn't bloatware and actually does scan and detect old drivers. I recommend not using it and only download your chipset drivers from the motherboard website once during initial setup. Drivers should be installed once and them only updated if there are issues. This minimizes stability issues.

- Using the disk is also never ideal as they are old drivers.

- Installing most types of driver such as LAN and audio is unnecessary on Windows 10 as the drivers are built in. Chipset driver install from the motherboard website is recommended.

- If you are having issues with lower YouTube video quality, ensure the setting icon is adjusted to max resolution and give...

Thanks for link.
But I've tried it already before. Just launched it again, installation completes, but drivers are unchanged. Same versions still.

Thanks.

Yep, Youtube quality I manually set to max always (not just "Automatic 1080p60HD" option for example).

When I updated those drivers in past, there was effect instantly - driver installed, milisecond screen blink, and noticable "anti-aliasing" like effect on text font applied.

Those are Intel PCI Express chipsets drivers too, so maybe it can have something to do with GPU (because it is plugged into PCI Express slot), dunno. I'm not IT spec, but because font quality effect was instantly after updating chipset drivers maybe it is possible.

On my mobo website latest is 10.1.1.38 version which I have, installing package sent by @SkyNetRising doesn't update them... So maybe my mobo chipsets aren't supported at all since 10.1.1.38, dunno.

Well, I will try update them again maybe but first need to backup those drivers. If no quality change, I will roll back.

Screen blinked like before after updating Intel(R) Xeon(R) E3 - 1200/1500 v5/6th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) PCIe Controller (x16) - 1901 driver, but no visual changes.

I will roll back drivers.

Thanks for answers guys.
