[SOLVED] Intel(R) Ethernet Connection (2) I219-V whats with the (2)

How do I change the name of this Intel(R) Ethernet Connection (2) I219-V whats with the (2), that 2 drives me crazy, I just wan't to remove it, nothing else.

Typically the (2) appears when the NIC is installed again and was setup while the old one was there. If you delete the NIC and reinstall it may remove it or it may create one with a (3) behind it. Depends on how the uninstaller removes the entry for the NIC.

Also, how can I remove the NIC? I'm trying to install another version of the driver but remains the same.

You can go to Network Connections in Control Panel, right click the NIC and select "Rename".
