Intel rapid storage technology problem

Hi, recently i buy a new pc... i put 2 HDD in raid 1 for reliability and i wanna boost with an SSD as cache. The problem is my software don't let me do that...actually the "Accelerate" option doesn't appear. The motherboard its an asus with h97 chipset (asus h97m-e). Can this motherboard suport RST and don't suport ssd caching? I tried every single posible and i searched every forum...nobody said anything...maybe its not a problem and i.m too dumb to figer it our...

You can cache a single hard disk or partition, not an array.

Your motherboard uses an Intel H97 Chipset, which is not capable of using the Intel SRT (Smart Response Technology) to cache a SSD.

It obviously is supported on the H97 and Z97 chipsets.

You're right, I apologize for the misinformation.
Intel did not update their SRT User Guide, but they did update their SRT Technology Brief, which shows support for H97 & Z97 Chipsets: http://www.intel.com/content/dam/www/public/us/en/documents/technology-briefs/smart-response-technology-brief.pdf

What version RST are you using? Is it 10.5 or later?

it is 13.1.0.1058 - i put the ssd on sata 3, but the motherboard user guide say all 4 sata connectors are controlled by chipset "Intel ® H97 Serial ATA 6.0 Gb/s Connectors (7-pin Sata 6g_1-6)" should i put it on sata 1? really matter?

It doesn't matter; a port is not reserved for the SSD. You'll never make it work if you don't break the RAID because you're trying to RAID another RAID. Look at the picture you found where the SSD is RAID 0.

I read that thread and I'm not convinced it worked properly because he didn't use the latest Intel drivers. He claims that it worked with old drivers, but no other poster was able to make it work.

It has been my experience that the device driver for RST needs to be loaded when Windows is being installed (at the time of choosing which disc to load in, add "driver" which is downloaded from Intel). Afterwards when the complete drive set is installed and the SRT sees the SSD, it should make available the 'Accelerate' button. This has worked for me accelerating two hard drives in RAID-1 tied into a SSD drive as cache. The MB is an ASROCK X99-WS, but I believe this will work in most motherboards with supported chipsets and correct software drivers. (I'm still trying to figure a way to enable SRT when the original driver is not installed at the Windows loading.)
