Except what is actually the issue, or if it affects lower tier CPU's in those gens, or what potential damage is happening, or if there are any "bandaids" actions you can take to prevent further degradation..

The non k version launch way before the K version... if something will have problem will be the K version.

I have disable the c6 and c7 on my cpu... my board goes wild with the last bios update more coilwine than before.
Have something really wrong with c states more than the high voltage.

Are you going to retest all the CPUs and see if there's a performance impact?
I think think you should test the latest few generations of CPUs and see if Hyper-threading is still relevant, especially for gaming.
