EVO is an insipid perennial like "[Some Name] X": Compaq EVO (2001), Asus EVO (90s), Samsung EVO (10s?).

Originality = 0, Creativity = 0, Meaning = 0.

Total = 0

So whatever.

Intel stated in q2 cc that they successfully powered on a petaflop GPU. Raise your hand if you have one of those.

As soon as Ryzen launched and caught them off-guard, it was obvious to me that Intel would assemble an internal team to make a suitable answer. It would take a few years, but Intel wouldn't just sit idle and reduce nanometers forever. Eventually, they would launch a brand new architecture. I think this new branding is indicative of that.
