Which Skylake/ Kaby Lake Intel CPU has the single threaded equivalent of a FX 4300 @ 4.75 GHz?

Will the FX 4300 bottleneck the RX 480? On a resolution of 1920x1080p at 75 Hz.

I will be playing Watch Dogs 2, Battlefield 1, Minecraft (with Ultra Shaders + 4×SSAA or 4K) and Civilisation VI.

Will my framerate be limited? Thank you for your reply.

So.. what I think makes the most sense is compare an i5-6600K, slightly overclocked to your current CPU

use PASSMARK as a rough score and we get

FX-4300 ST1404
FX-4300 OC approx. 1660

i5-6600K ST2142
i5-6600K@4.5GHz 2570

Difference is 2570/1660 = 55%

*My method is slightly crude, and of course you won't get 55% higher frame rates but in some games it might be over 30% improvement.

**I would definitely wait for RYZEN pricing (and availability) then do a comparison to Intel.
1. Yes your FX-4300 will often be the bottleneck. It will vary so I'd be guessing 25% or more but it's a very rough guess.

2. Equivalent? Not sure, I'd have to calculate that. Will post below.

3. Remember you'd have to basically buy a new motherboard, CPU, DDR4 memory, possibly Windows, reinstall everything so it's a hassle.

You can still have a good experience so an FX-4300@4.75GHz is probably the way to go for now if money is an issue.

So given that my other FX 4300 @ 4.75 GHz gets 1810 for passmark (yes i know its low), according to Passmark its like an i5 6400 stock @ 2.70 GHz with 1829.
Looks like AM4 better arrive quick cause even the i3 7350K is quite expensive for the budget builds.

Will i5 6400 limit the RX 480 then? Is there a specific combination where CPUs and GPUs work better in a pair?
