Intel SSD shows up in My Computer but disappears after a couple seconds

I recently purchased an Intel SSD 530 Series 240 GB for my laptop. I removed the optical drive and installed the SSD in the optical bay using a caddy. The installation worked fine. After installing it, the device showed up in My Computer and Disk Management, but after a couple minutes it disappeared. Now I can't find it anywhere (My computer, Disk Management, Device Manager)
