Intel Stock Cooler Push Pins Bent.

I was trying to put my intel stock cooler back on after having to check which processor it was, because I had found and old mobo with the CPU still in it. I checked and when to put the fan back on and the stupid clear plastic part of the push pin bent and now it cant fit in the board. What should I do?

try to squeeze the 2 halves back together so it make a somewhat a point. had to do that a couple of times when it would not fit in properly.
