[SOLVED] intel stock coolers E97379-001 vs E97379-003 difference

Hello mates,

I have Intel i5-3470 CPU and two Intel stock coolers Foxconn E97379-001 and Nidec E97379-003.
I know some aftermarket cooler would be better solution, but in this situation I have to choose between these two coolers.

I there any difference between these two CPU heatsink Fans or which one would be better to use with i5-3470?

No difference between the two, that I can see. They look to be the same crappy design that Intel stock coolers are known for, just different suppliers. Why are forced to choose between those two?

Because I have these two coolers. And want to install the one of them which is better.
I've google it but couldn't find the difference except one is Nidec and other is Foxconn and one has 0.18A and other 0.17A rating.

Neither is going to be noticeably better, than the other. Personally, I would just get a $15-$25 tower cooler, that will fit your case, if you can. Even this little guy would be far better than those stock coolers.

OK. Thank you for suggestion. I know they are both poor. But I won't buy any other cooler in the near future. I will use one of these two. At least on paper one of these two must be better or from newer series. Which one E97379-003 or e97379-001?

Not necessarily, you identified the difference. Different supplier. The suppliers were given the same drawings and specs. The part number difference allows Intel to identify the supplier, and if needed recall specific units.

Maybe you are right, but I found that e97379-003 i e97379-001 are different part numbers and there are three different suppliers for these two coolers: Delta, Foxconn and Nidec. Delta coolers have greater amperage values 0.6A compare to 0.18A and. 0.17A for Foxconn and Nidec suppliers. What I meant to say is I have seen E97379-001 in Nidec, Foxconn and Delta variant and same for E97379-003.
