This is getting to be too small a device to interest me at all. Fine, Ubuntu itself won't eat memory like Windows does...but 1 Gb won't last long on *this* web page, for example, much less if you keep several tabs open.

I get the idea of this PC on a stick.

But the question is why should I use it....instead of a HP Steam 7 or 8 ?

I'm confused by this article. There are already Intel Compute Sticks available on shelves with Ubuntu OS for a price of $89.

I wonder if you can use this stick to bypass the current OS and extract data from a pre-existing drive that can't be seen by the BIOS or Device Manager..?
