I can't believe how many noobs still think SATA/SATA2/eSATA SSDs are the way to go. Actually, I can't get over how many noobs think Flash is a good replacement for HDDs. Personally, I would rather have one device dedicated to performance storage and a seperate device that's dedicated to long-term storage instead of single device that's not really very good at either but costs about the same.

I mean come on, HotHardware did a test of FOUR Intel X-25M SLC SSDs in RAID 0 vs a SINGLE PCIe MLC SSD, and PCIe kicked its arse. And on top of that, the PCIe turned out to be CHEAPER, too!
