Intel Version of Cool 'n Quiet

Is there an Intel version of the AMD motherboard thing called Cool 'n Quiet? Is it only for certain brands?

Yes it's called speedstep and it depends on the cpu. Most recent cpu's support it, it's been around since p4, a lot of the older pentium and core 2 duo/quad cpu's supported it, core i3/i5/i7. Sometimes in the bios it will be listed as 'eist' (enhanced intel speedstep technology).
