Intel vs AMD

Solution
Either are fine if you're just running a webserver. AMD is the underdog, but if you're not doing any high performance computing (and you're not if you're running php, jsp, asp, etc.) then you can save some money and go AMD.

Otherwise go Intel--they are the server CPU kings at the moment.

sorry cpu and i'm talking about server cpu

Purpose is to host website php, asp.net and jsp

so server should be able to run linux server, windows server, tomcat etc

So you tell me brother what you know

which 1 is good

and compare both processor through TDP l3 or l2 cache memory

A single Opteron 6380 matches the Java server performance of a single Xeon E5
