Intel vs amd

hi, i want to buy cheap gaming computer , but i need your help to decide which to buy... here are 2 computer specifications:

• HDD: 500GB SATAII 16MB

• Barebone: Xigmatek Asgard

or

Processor: AMD Phenom X4 965 3.4GHz

• HDD: 640GB SATAII 7200rpm

• Sound: int.
• Video: HD4890 1GB DDR5
• 10/ 100 integrated
• Silver Power 600W
No info about the barebone...

I would like to suggest you for Intel Core i5 750.

The i5 config with a Corsair TX650W instead of the Silver Power one.

why better power?? 600w is enough... atleast i think so..
hard to decide because amd computer got better graphics and intel computer got better processor(but difference is only 10%)

600 watts is more than enough, 500 would do.
The 600 watt Silver Power is built on a Solytech platform, pretty much bottom of the barrel as far as quality.
That's not to say that all Silver Power psu's are bad, thier 500 watt unit is built on a Seasonic platform.

amd computer looks better, because price difference between processors is 10-20 dollars, but intel graphics card is much cheaper than amd's...
and please, more description, why should i choose intel

also i wonder those graphics aren't 256bit...huh😀
and barebones are same...

also amd video (4890) average % beats 5770 by 11,3%
5770 is 205 dollars(intel compu)
4890 is 247 dollars(amd compu)

intel beats amd by 3%
intel i5 750 is 241 dollars
amd phenom x4 II 965 is 228 dollars
percents were taken by games fps in tomshardware charts

intel 446 dollars
amd 475 dollars

whew... really difficult to decide which to buy... times were easier before, always bought intel 😀

ok if i buy intel's computer, what cpu fan would you recommend me?(please don't choose the most expensive one)
also same about amd's computer, what cpu fan would you recommend?

Both are damn good and should run any game that you want on high settings for a couple years.

For gaming, they're about equal. The 965 is better in some games and the i5 is better in some games. Generally when the i5 has the lead, it's by a slightly larger margin (still small), as some games utilize Intel's architecture better. When the 965 has the lead, it's usually very small. An i5 might hold up slightly better in future games if you choose to upgrade to a more powerful GPU, though both will likely still be exceedingly close in gaming performance. If you overclock, the i5 is a little faster clock for clock. It's not as enormous as it may appear due to turbo boost (excellent feature if you aren't into OCing, btw), but it still will run about 5-10% faster than a 965 if they're at the same clock speeds. In real-world terms, there isn't really a noticeable difference between either CPU.

An i5-750 tends to be about 5% better on average across the board for non-gaming professional applications, for encoding, ripping, etc.

My best suggestions is to go with your gut. If you initially were leaning for AMD, then get the 965. If you were initially leaning towards Intel, then get the i5. You'll be very happy with either one.
