AMD has the performance crown hands down. They are lightyears ahead of Intel with the new FX series.

intel is odiviouly better, all the core 2 duos win in terms of price performance, and the e6300 beats the FX62 in terms of most performance bench marks.

the FX is not light years ahead.

intel have also beat AMD in terms of the race to quad core, they are cheaper (and will be cheaper then the FX72- or what ever its called) and the Fx is based on athlon witch is slower then the conreo.

Dont no compare pentium with athlon, pentium, isreplacinf the celeron, and they are now dirt cheap.
