Hello, I own a Dell T3500 workstation with a Xeon W3503, and 4gb of RAM, running a mine craft server. I use Spigot and MineOS, so I have optimized my server as much as I can. However, I am beginning to face lag due to the rising number of plugins and world in my server. So, would the W3565 allow me to experience less lag? Currently I have 20 slots, 40 plugins, and 8-10 worlds. The TPS only dips when new chunks are being loaded, but I'd like to add more worlds/plugins and possibly a TS3 server. Could the W3565 handle all that? More?

Considering servers... if something is Worth doing, its worth doing right, whatever you might "add" or "replace" in there will just be a marginal improvement.

You can squeeze something out of it if you follow the advice I gave you, but upgrading really isn't worthwhile...

What you need is something similar than what I've got. I got multiple servers- a proxy server, local file server, whole computer serves as a firewall and is running a dedicated space engineers server with an infinite map size. With all these things running in the background I can still run 1080p gaming without a performance hit, sometimes even more than one game, keeping civilizations: beyond earthing running when waiting for world of tanks round to come around in...
That CPU is poor to be even running a client on it, let alone a server. The answer is no. You musn't add any new plugins, possibly drop to 6 worlds, then you might be able to run a TS3 server, but either way you're stretched to the limit.

What about the W3565? If not, is there a chip that will be OK on LGA 1136?

Of course that kind of power didn't come cheap, considering the wages in my country, I had to sell my soul to the devil, mortgage one kidney and sell my twisted, hairy right leg.

So best advice is, get everything you can out of what you already got, get a piggybank and toss in every dime until you can afford to invest at least 300€, which is bare minimum for Xeon 1236, H97 Mobo, and some DDR3 memory. Then you'll be the boss... at least what home server performance is concerned, but you can always toss in a graphics card later if you got the bitter taste of low fps in your mouth.
