Hello.
I have a Intel xeon e7 8890 v2 processor, and was wondering what type of board is compatible with it.

Do i need a Server only board to run this thing ? How well does it do over a i7 6900k or Ryzen 7 2600x ? can't seem to find a reliable information on the internet benchmarking this cpu.

and last question, how much could i expect if i'd decided to sell it.

Thank you very much.

See here for info regarding the CPU:

This site implies that the CPU is compatible with X79 chipset motherboards. That may not be the case. This is a server CPU designed to work in a multi-CPU system.

If you can find one of these motherboards, cheap, it might be worth trying. Be sure the motherboard BIOS is as current as possible.

Good luck.
