Firstly, I can't overclock using my BIOS since my Mobo doesnt support it. Secondly, Im not even sure if this program works on my mobo which is why i came here to ask.
I have this pretty old system with a Q6600 and a DP35DP motherboard. I managed to do the BSEL Mod on the CPU to bump it up to 3.0Ghz but thats just not enough for me. So i found this program by intel which lets you change your clock speed, voltage, etc... from windows.
The problem is everytime i launch it i get this error :
"Unable to start Intel Extreme Tuning Utility. If there is another performance tuning application running, you must close it before trying to start this application."
I've tried closing every single app on my PC but nothing helped. I heard enabling HPET in the BIOS fixes the issue but it never worked for me. All help is appreciated.
