enough to get into windows and see the temp...

I did not do it cause i just woke up one morning and said...damn my pII 400 runs cool...lets swap it for my pIII and see if I can run it w/o a heatsink. I was actually trouble shooting a slot 1 mobo...and wanted to try with a diffrent cpu...but i did not have a heatsink for it...as no heatsinks will easly fit a pII 400...and i only had pIII heatsinks...

BTW...the pII 400 i was using seemed to have a metal plate over the core much like a heatspreader...i have no clue what its purpose was but looked very diffrent from any other cores i have seen...

Syndil...very good point about the heatpipes...i beleive they run on convection current...therefore if the temps are simular the heatpipe will be useless...

So easy to fry yet tastes so good...
