Inter Core 2 Quad Q9650 Temp???!!!!!!

Hello guys i upgraded from q9400 to q9650 so guys when i was on q9400 on the heavy load and gaming my temps didnt go over 55C but on my new q9650 idle cores are 40-50 and when gaming and load between 50-70 so is there a problem or just the q9650 make more heat ???

You nailed it, Q9650 produces more heat. Both CPUs are based on identical technology, just the frequency is higher on 9650. Hence the increased heat. 70C is not too much for Intel - at least not if it is not a constant temperature. I would just make sure that case has decent airflow and is clean. If that temp really bugs you, you can always get a better cooler.

First thank you but another question when gaming on 50-70 is that goin to affect the Cpu over time or its ok

My old Q9550 used to be at 65C most of the time while under full load / gaming. This temp won't affect longevity. Start worrying only if it exceeds 80C.
