My idea is to have a Bluetooth module that has at least 3, separate 3.5mm Front L/R, Rear L/R, and Center/Sub channel inputs. The wireless output signals would be 3 separate simultaneous connections as well. Imagine 3 short 3.5mm cables running from your F/LR, R/LR, and C/S outputs from your MoBo or sound card, to a small "dongle" sized device.

Why? Think of the nightmare that is wiring 5.1 surround systems in an office/gamer-cave setting, which is often awkward and non ideal for optimal cable routing . Now, with said module you can have some powered/active 2.0 or 2.1 Bluetooth pc speakers linked up via Bluetooth for your rear surround, and maybe passthrough options if wireless isn't necessary for front or center channels. This would open up much more variation and surround sound setup options.

Does anything like this already exist. If not, think its a good idea?

Solution
There are wireless adapters for speakers, and also 5.1 systems that come with wireless speakers that talk to the main unit.

Pretty much anything someone can think of has been thought of, or dismissed as not viable or practical.
