it's kind funny. so I got 4x4 gb ram (Kingstone hx318c10f/4) 2 older and 2 new. Once I got the 2 new I inserted them but teh pc didn't boot up. no power to the mouse, screens, etc. somehow I managed that to work and I had 16 gb ram. now this problem is here again. but he is not alone. I can't use the 4 ram stick once cuz it won't boot up. I tested the sticks, but it was soo funny. so usually some stixj with each the other works, someone is not.

I wrote numbers on them so I have 1 2 3 4 ram sticks. I tested them 1 in a time. the number 1 and 3 worked alone and I had 4 gb ram. the number 2 and 4 did not work and boot up. but when I used number 1 and 2 it booted up, and said I have 8 gb ram and 4 gb ram is reserved for hardware. but somehow I can manage it to be 7gb usable out of 8, but I can hardly manage to get 8 out of 8. Is there the problem with my motherboard? I updated the bios for the newest version, but nothing changed. or is the poblem with my ram sticks? anyone has any idea?

windows 10 64 bit
as rock 970 pro3 r2. 0
Kingstone hx318x10f/4 x4
AMD fx-8320E
nothing overclocked, voltage might be the problem(too low)

Have you taken a good look on the QVL page for you motherboard ?
https://www.asrock.com/mb/AMD/970 Pro3 R2.0/index.asp#Memory
It appears that speeds of 1800 Mhz and above (as 1866 Mhz as you have) is only possible with 2 memory sticks. Furthermore, only sticks of 2 Gb are listed at this speed with one exeption.
So, if you had 2 sticks of 4 Gb at 1866 Mhz, you were already functioning at max official specs. And it seems that your Bios update did not change that.
Have you done a clear CMOS after upgrading your Bios ?
Is there an options in your Bios to functions at DDR3-1600 CL9-10-9 @1.5V (as this is supported by your Ram) as per their specifications https://www.kingston.com/dataSheets/HX318C10F_4.pdf

yes i did several times, without succes

here is a pic https://ibb.co/WW0ZTxh
dram frequency is ddr3-1866 right now, but i can change it.
so if i'm right that memory manual says that i can use dram frequency at ddr3-1600?
and then i can use 4 stick of rams?

the same problem. won't boot up. only black screen with dram frequency ddr3-1600 + dram voltage 1.6 V
Can you put the speed at 1333 Mhz, and timings at 9-9-9-24.
These are base line values for DDR3. If you can not boot with these specs, I think it is hopeless to use these 4 RAM sticks together.
There is still the problem that number 2 and 4 would not work alone ....

And I just looked at the PDF for your RAM reference
https://www.kingston.com/dataSheets/HX318C10F_4.pdf

And I am a bit puzzled by the values they give. It's supposed to be quicker that standard values and I wonder if there is the problem.
Do you have CPU-Z ? If yes put each kit (only the 2 sticks from each kit) in place. Ang look on the SPD tab in CPU-Z what are the values for each kit.
i put it back to 1866 because after the last time when it was 1333 and i tried with 4 sticks then took out 2 and tried with 2 it didn't want to boot up :/ idk why, but now is good, but if you want i can put the frequency back to 1333

The reference for the RAM that is shown in CPU-Z is khx1866c10d3/4g.
And the reference you gave in you original post is hx318c10f/4

So in reality you have 2 kits with different references, and when you look at their respective specs
https://www.kingston.com/dataSheets/HX318C10F_4.pdf
there is no real matching values.
So you probably try to run 2 incompatible kits together.

that's true. but on the side of the sticks there is this number (hx318c10f/4) and this url is about c9 instead of c10 and when i hit up on google this: kingston khx1866c10d3/4g the results are this:hx318c10f/4
and i bought this from the same site and it has to be the same product only a little time between the purchase
OK see what you mean . And when you put the 2 other sticks, what do you see with CPU-Z ?
Look at each SPD tab

Yeah as i mentioned in the topic, this is an interesting problem. sometimes it boots up, sometimes it won't. now it won't. At the beginning of October i can test them in an other and better pc/motherboard. That's my biggest problem. I don't know which is the bad. The memory or the motherboard. But funny sidenote: this 4 sticks together worked almost a year...

Ok ok I did not understand that at one Time they worked togethet
yes for almost a year. But i don't remember to set anything to something else in any options. And once i wanted to start my pc and nono...
I had problems like this when i got the 2nd 2 sticks of ram. but somehow i managed to make them good somehow
