interface crc error count

i checked hd tune today and i noticed that the crc error count was at attention.


ive tried with another sata cable but its still there, ive got my hdd put in the sata 3gb transfer and my ssd in the white sataport which is 6gb transfer

my motherboard is the gigabyte z77x d3h

Nothing wrong until the current value starts decreasing.. Look down at the status in the photo, there were communication errors.. Make sure you don't have any connection problems..
-Try different cable.
-Look if cable connector is perfectly connected with connector on motherboard/hard disk...

UDMA CRC errors are caused by communication errors between the drive and the host (southbridge) and typically involve an issue with the drive, SATA cable or the motherboard. These errors aren't generally something to worry about in terms of an absolute count as errors may have occurred on day 1 and never re-occurred. You should worry when it occasionally increases..

It's an attention and not a warning.. I have 9 CRC error count because I disconnected my Ext. HDD manually as it hung up everything due to the opening of a corrupted file.. It was recorded that once your ext HDD wasn't communicated by your board/system.. You can't fix it..
