Hi there,

Ive been working with InteriCAD T5 for years with no problems. I just created a 2D floor plan and wanted to send to 3D (update VR) and it had an error message saying 'less vertex 3' so wouldn't let me go into 3D. Could anyone help please? I cant work it out at all, it was fine last week.

THANK YOU so much,

Demi

Does the following link show the software that you have been using?

https://intericad-t5.software.informer.com/5.0/

Are you working with a paid for and licensed version of InteriCAD or the free version?

Any known updates to InteriCAD within the last week? Any other known system or software updates?

That said, I found the following link:

https://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/InteriCAD_T6_User_Manual#Ceiling_Block

My suspicion is that you entered some incorrect entry needed for the 2D to 3D conversion process or may have overlooked some entry. Perhaps one of three required vertex related values?

Google "interiCAD T5 vertex".

Narrow the search criteria as applicable to your knowledge and experience with InteriCAD.

The results may help you discover what has gone astray.....

Thanks so much again!

Here is a link that will help:

https://www.lifewire.com/3d-model-components-1952

From the link:

"Vertices: The point of intersection between three or more edges is called a vertex (pl. vertices). Manipulation of vertices on the x, y, and z-axes (affectionately referred to as "pushing and pulling verts") is the most common technique for shaping a polygonal mesh into it's final shape in traditional modeling packages like Maya, 3Ds Max, etc. (Techniques are very, very different in sculpting applications like ZBrush or Mudbox.)"

What may be happening is when you send from 2D to 3D your floor plan is missing a vertex needed to provide necessary z axis.

Excellent, thank you so much! I was trying to find out but that makes so much sense!
I have started again and its ok now thank goodness!
I think the software needs updating though but no-one is replying from InteriCAD, so annoying.
Thanks so much again! Really appreciate your help
