Question Intermittent “Pop/Bang” with blue/orange sparks when PC is plugged into extension cable

Hi, I recently built a new PC, not had any issues with it up until recently when I heard a loud bang coming from the extension cable. It happened again and I noticed orange sparks so I quickly went out to replace the extension cable.

The issues have continued with the new extension cable and with only the PC plugged in. The PC is not powered on and this still happens.

Could this be an indication of a faulty PSU or cable? Or maybe something else?
