I have two monitors of the same brand called LC Power. The model name is LC-Power LC-M27-QHD-165-C-K.

From time to time, roughly every 10 minutes, the monitor makes a noise, more like a popping sound. It just pops and stops. It also happens when I turn off my PC, it keeps popping every 10 minutes or so and then after an hour or two it stops.

What causes this? The monitor is a year old, the cables are basically new. Is this just normal?

Could be heat related. As the monitor cools down some physical component within contracts, moves, and "pops". Not uncommon for any appliance or device to make some expansion/contraction noises while heating up and cooling down.

Once the monitor is fully cooled down "after an hour or two" then the contractions end and all is silent.

Until the next time the monitor warms up again, parts expand, and move again.

I would gently tighten all visible screws, ensure that all ventilation holes are clear of dust and debris.

Switch the monitors around just to determine if a change in "air flows" around the monitor make a difference.

I.e., it may not get as hot and/or cool down more evenly.
