Intermittent internet access

Intermittent internet access, must restart computer to regain access for brief period of time. No internet connection problem shown. Tried with and without router at two different locations. Other devices on same network work fine.

Software:
Windows 7 64-Bit
AMD FX-6300
Avast Anit-Virus with disabled firewalls (including windows firewall) without success

I'm glad to help you out but can you provide the modem or router make and model, the computer also? Also, the other devices have the same Anti-virus? There are some anti virus that counts with a strong configuration that block some connections.
