Question Intermittent USB for all attacted devices

My S20 Lenovo drops usb connections intermittently, whether they are hardwired or wireless. The interim solution is to disconnect the dead device and re-connecti it to a different usb port.

I recently changed from a wired keyboard to a Logitech wireless with an on/off switch, and when it disconnects, it will re-connect after turning it off and on again. Oddly, the wireless mouse that shares the keyboard's USB dongle still works when the keyboard fails.

Any ideas about this bizarre behaviour?

Make sure your laptop isn't pending any BIOS updates. Following that, check to see if there's any updates for your OS. Once verified to be up to date on BIOS and OS, reinstall your chipset/USB drivers in an elevated command, i.e, Right click installer>Run as Administrator.
