Hi
W10 pro

Asus 270 mb.
C: is 1TB SSD(1), first half, no problem
D: is a WD Gold 4TB, about 2 years old
E: is other half of SSD(1) no problem
F: is small SSD (2) no problem.

Intermittently the PC can't "see" D:.
Restart doesn't fix it, hard off/on does. (so far)

Due to a separate fault, the CPU was changed, but that seems unconnected as the D: problem has just slowly got worse.
HDD cable has been changed. NO difference.

PC shop who put it together say it could be PSU or mobo.

Yesterday it was OK
Last night the pc put itself to sleep, (not OFF)
when I woke it this morning D wasn't there.

Is there anything i can do while it's NOT seeing D; to help diagnose?

Chances are that if I return it to the shop it'll behave itself.

Thanks

Welcome to the forums my friend!

Did the PC shop test the storage drive itself?
Usually a disappearing storage drive can often be indicative of the drive or data cables failing. Now you've already tried a different cable, have you also tried a different port?

May be worth running HD Sentinel on the drives to check for any obvious abnormalities.
