So I have 1TB and 500Gb hard drives ( both Seagate ) for storing games and files, and Kingston 240Gb SSD for Windows 10. The problem is that my Hard Drives sometimes make noise and stop responding and mostly disconnect while trying to access any files in them. So I took my HDD's to my friends place and connected it to his PC and they worked properly without any noise and could access all the files properly. So again after that I went home and tried if they are working again, but the same thing continues, they make noise and disconnect while trying to access anything in them. Idk if its my PSU or something else in Windows.

PC:
i7 6700
RTX 2070 Super
Asrock Pro4 Hyper
(2x8gb) Adata XPG Ram
750W Offbrand PSU

Honestly, the PSU is the far biggest worry. You should not be using some weird offbrand PSU with this rig under any circumstances and if it fixes your problem, even better.

It's certainly possible, depending on just how horrid this PSU is. I'd be quite concerned about protecting that 2070 Super, which is far more expensive than your hard drives. If you have money for the sports car, you need to have money for the insurance and maintenance.
What else can be the problem aside from faulty PSU to cause this HDD problem?
