Question Internal DVD Drive

I am looking for an internal DVD drive that fully ejects the disk, rather than just pops open like so many do these days. I would prefer a 12.7mm, but will go with a full size ODD if I have too. My question is how do I tell if the drive ejects, or pops open before I take it home and install it? Does anybody even make a 12.7mm drive that doesn't pop open? I don't think I've ever seen one.

Yes, its a desktop. I have a 5.25 bay a 12.7mm adapter that accepts optical drive and a 2.5" hard drive.

Please provide a link to the adapter. Need to see how the optical drive mounts to it.
