Hi,
So at the same time my HDD's started to make soft low humming sound but it's enough to drive a person crazy. Because both have the same problem and at the same time it makes me think it's not because of them but another component causing the HDD's to hum inside my computer.
So unplugging one doesn't make it go away, Int HDD has it and Ext HDD has it.
Could it be my power supply making them hum? now I use my SSD only. I tried to connect the ext HDD to a separate wall socket cause what do I know maybe worth the shot but it's still the same.
I have the PSU for over 4 years now, it's in the specs below, it has good parts though (atleast at the time it came highly recommended).
System Specs:
Internal HDD: samsung HD501LJ 500GB
Ext HDD: Seagate 2TB
CPU: i5 3570k
mobo: gigabyte ga-h77-d3h
PSU: XFX 550 pro
GPU: GTX EVGA GeForce GTX 1070 SC GAMING ACX 3.0
Case: Corsair r300
