internal HDD disconecting

Hello, I have 2 internal HDDs, one of 500Gb and the other is 2Tb, both Seagate. It's been 2-3 months (almost the same time I changed from W7 to W10) since my 2Tb hard drive started to disconnect by itself and I have no idea why, when it disconnects it doesn't show up in Windows 10 or BIOS.
I have 1.1 Tb of important data that I can't loose so reset the HDD it's not an option, and I do not have another HDD big enough to comport that much of data yet. Another piece of information I'd like to share is that the 500Gb (4-5 years) is much older than the 2Tb (2 years),

I tried:
Changing the Sata cables.
Changing the power cables.
Check if the HDD is spinning inside. ( which it is, and it does feel and sound normal.)
Changing the power setting to never turn off the HDDs

Any help would be appreciated.

Solution
Unfortunately, it seems that there are some bad sectors on the drive. Also, this airflow temperature indicator could be associated with some internal flaw.
Given all the stuff you've tried, I would say that you need to back up the data stored on the drive and replace it. You can just RMA it in case it is under warranty.

Have you tried plugging your 2TB into a different port on the motherboard?
Might be your mobo that's giving issues.
Try switching them if you haven't already.

I assume your OS is on the 500GB?
If you switch them and your pc doesn't boot then you know it's your motherboard.

Hi there Nimat,

I would agree with _Blink and say that you need to attach the drive to a different SATA port as well.
Another thing you can do i to go to your MOBO's website and update all the drivers.

In case the issue persists though, I would advice you to back up at least the most important data stored on the drive and test the drive with some of these: http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/forum/282651-32-best-diagnostic-testing-utility

Let us know how this goes,

Hello, yes I've tried switching the ports, but it didn't matter, the 500GB still works perfectly and the 2Tb still appears to be disconnecting. And yes my OS is on the 500GB.
I used the Seagate Tool and the 2TBHDD passed in SMART CHECK, Short Drive Self test, Short Generic, and I'm running the Long Generic now. It passed all the tests except the advanced which I didn't try, because it shows me a "possibly data loss in the process" window.

OK guys, I downloaded the HD Tune Pro and in the Health section it shows "warning" in "(5) Reallocated Sector Count" , "C5 Current Pending Sector" and a big red "failed" in "(BE) Airflow Temperature".
It didn't find any error in the "Error Scan"

The 500GB only shows a blue mark in Health saying "attention" in "(C7) Interface CRC Error Count" and it is at 36ºC. The 2TB is at 39ºC

Unfotunately, it's not under warranty, but i'll replace it as soon as possible. I just don't know how can I backup the HD to the new one

The HDD is with the same problem on Linux, so guess it's malfunction. Thanks for all the help!
