I have a 1tb hardrive on my pc but its reaching its limits from music samples that I use for production. I have an extra 250gb wd blue hdd in an old pc and was wondering if I could just remove it and plug it into my pc and move all my samples over? after deleting the old os off it of course.

Solution
Yes, you can certainly move that hard drive into your current system and use it for storage, assuming you have the correct data connections (SATA/IDE) ports for the drive.

Assuming that your computer has a spare sata data and power connector then there is nothing stopping you. All an external hard drive is, is a sata-(usually usb) bridge. Take the bridge away and you have an internal hard drive :) ~
