Question Internal HDD recognised in BIOS but not in Windows

Hi.
I have installed a new internal HDD in a PC at home. The machine also has an SSD that has Windows on it and boots from that.

The issue I am having is that the SATA HDD is recognised in the BIOS but not in Windows. It doesn’t appear anywhere, like Disk Management, for example.

If connected as an external HDD it works.

I changed the SATA cable and that didn’t fix it. I’ve tried both SATA connections on the motherboard to no avail.

Does anyone have any more suggestions on this?

Do you mean ‘does it appear in Device Manager? The answer to that is no. It doesn’t appear anywhere as it says in my post.

you didn't said device manager, you said disk Management which is different
