Question Internal Seagate 2TB making beeping/chirping sound.

So I've just finished building my PC and everything is working great apart from the internal 2TB Seagate 7200rpm barracuda drive keeps beeping/chirping when it's idle. I sent the original drive back and got a replacement from a totally different company and I'm still having the exact same issue meaning it must be something to do with how I have things set up. To be a little more descriptive its a single click/beep/chirp follow by 3 of them and then it continuously repeats.

I've also noticed that when I remove the SATA6 cable from the back of the hardrive it stops making the sound. Any ideas on what this could be/ what I've done wrong?

Things I've tried:
Changing the SATA6 cable
Swapping the SATA6 in to a different port on the MB
Changing the SATA power lead
Formatting the drive
Assigning different drive letter

PC Spec:
ASUS ROG Z390-E
i7900K
16GB 3200mhz Corsair Vengence
500gb Samsung 960 M.2
RTX 2070

Sorry if this is in the wrong part of the forum, first time posting.

First be certain that the beeps are indeed from barracuda drive and not, perhaps, a beep code via the motherboard.

Check the motherboard's manual for troubleshooting codes. Especially those codes related to the hard drive. (Which is why the beeps, etc., stop when the drive is disconnected.)

Have you tried running Seagate's diagnostic software on the drive?

What PSU are you using: make, model, wattage, age, condition?

I think you may be correct in saying that the beeps are actually coming from the motherboard. I've had a google and it appears that that sequence of beeps indicates 'No memory detected' - no other info than that in the manual either.

I've just double checked the RAM is correctly seated and also tried the other slots but I'm still getting the same result.

I've just ran the Seagate diagnostic software and the drive passed all the tests. The PSU is a EVGA GOLD 650W FM and is brand new.

Okay, update for anyone who finds this in the future and is experiencing the same issue..

After literally trying everything I can think of I've found that this beeping is directly caused by the NZXT CAM software. I had it launching on start-up and as soon as I disabled that the beeping stopped. When I launch it manually the beeping then begins again until I force quit it from the task bar.

I have absolutely no idea why this is even a thing. Perhaps a future CAM will fix this bug...
