Hello Fellow Techies,

I recently purchased the Asus Impact VIII (ITX) but realised that the thing doesnt come with a usb 2.0 internal header which i need for my corsair link psu+cooler and only a 3.0 which i cant sacrifice due to connecting my case 3.0 ports.

Now here is my attempt at a workaround:

Will i be able to connect a NZXT Internal USB expansion via the mobo's back plate usb port by using a "Male USB Type-A to Female USB header" or is such a move not viable? Main issue being whether a single port can handle the expansion as opposed to true header, connectivity wise.

Power draw limit is a none issue since the expansion draws directly from the PSU via the supplied molex cable.

Sorry if my question wasnt clear enough as English isnt my main language.

EDIT: GPU already occupies the PCIE lane.

something like these give a usb header http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...
Not to be confused with a usb 3.0 that has a header, they need that connected to the board for usb 3.0 support and not suitable for you

yes i realized that after googling yours :)
