[SOLVED] Internal vs external hdd for speed?

Will an internal 3.5" hdd 4tb wd blue be faster than all external hdd of 4tb?
If yes what is limiting the speed? The usb 3.0?

USB3 operates at higher speeds than SATA can handle, so optimally you should notice no difference between USB3 and an internal drive of the same type. In my experience with my own drive, I've noticed this to be true. So basically if you have a external 7200RPM HDD it should be as fast as the HDD company has specified.

SATA max. Mb/s= 550
3.0 max. Mb/s= 625
3.1 max. Mb/s= 1250 MB/s
3.2 max. Mb/s= 2500 MB/s

it shares the same WD Blue hdd but dunno if it's the 7200rpm version, reviews rated its speed 170mb/s Write speed against 120mb/s for the internal SATA version!

If you have a slow HDD the onliest thing that will effect the game is when you need to load or respawn. It will not effect FPS and the WD Book is pretty good i used one myself a 1TB older version and ran everything really well.
