Internet 1,000+ latency for hour straight AT&T

Hey so yesterday I was just playing some games on my PC and out of nowhere I got 1,000+ latency and this lasted for about an hour. I reset my router, I restarted my PC and I waited.....eventually my lag came back down but then today it happened again. This is very frustrating. I have AT&T. I am wondering if any other AT&T users are getting this or if anyone knows the solution.

I also have AT&T and have not seen this. Hopefully it's just At&T doing maintenance. If it continues you should give them a call.

Can you check your current bandwidth usage? That high latency is likely from a swamped connection.

Something as dumb as syncing to the cloud can do this.
If your upload is slow it takes hours for just a few videos.

A large download will do it too. Resource monitor will allow you to see your desktop.
Routers might have totals but they rarely have any breakdown on consumer ones.
