A AP acts as a SERVER it provides wifi to end devices. You want the reverse. This device is called a client-bridge. It is basically a wifi card that you connect via ethernet rather than USB. These devices are kinda rare. What tends to be simpler to get a wifi repeater. You do not actually want to use the repeater function but almost all have the ability to run as a simple client-bridge.

That is standard telephone jack used in the UK. It does not use ethernet cables. You might be able to get internet via that port but it would have to be activated by the telephone company and you would need a dsl modem.
