My aunt and uncle are moving to an area where their internet speeds have gone down to 5mbs. They are currently still using the router and modem that Cincinnati Bell provided them. Do they need to upgrade from those? Should they switch to all wired internet connections? Or do they have to switch internet providers?

Solution
Get their latest bill (or call the ISP) to see what their rated speed is supposed to be at the new place.
Also, if they were renting the router/modem from the previous ISP they will want it back. If not returned ISPs usually charge full retail price.

Post what their speed is supposed to be, the exact model of the modem/router, and how you are testing. Remember, wireless in congested areas or areas with interference will cause slow speeds. ISPs are only responsible for speeds of direct network cable connections.
