So i get 1000 down and 200 up and my xbox gets around 600-700 down and like 100 up and my xbox is wired but everything wireless gets only like 10 down and 10 up but theres only a few things that are on my Internet anyways so it doesnt make sense on why things have to be wired to get good speeds. any way to fix this ?

Wireless technology is also vulnerable to trouble from a single device that connects slowly. The entire wireless connection will only go as fast as the slowest device connected. So, if one device is having a hard time connecting, for example if a TV is between it and the AP, it will slow everything else down. It only affects one channel at a time, so if you're Xbox is connected to the 5GHz band while the rest are connected to the 2.4GHz band, the Xbox wouldn't be affected.

So, to troubleshoot, try these steps:
1. power down all wireless devices and reconnect them one at a time, starting with the devices closest to the AP, then test the speed after each one powers up.
2. if it is slow right away with only one device you know isn't...

2. if it is slow right away with only one device you know isn't getting interference, try power cycling the AP and use just one device. if it starts off good and drops later, you might have a wireless leech somewhere. (Someone might be hacking into your wireless and not getting a fast connection, so all your devices are going slowly.)
3. if neither of those help, get a replacement AP. You can disable wireless on the router and just add a separate access point, if you prefer. Many small business wireless APs don't have the huge security hole of WPS, which would make it harder for someone to hack your wireless.
