Internet connection drops every 30 minutes

Hi, I'm having an issue that has proven to be difficult to troubleshoot by me and my ISP.

My internet connection stops working every 30 minutes for a period of 1 to 4 minutes and then starts working again. When the issue happens my cable modem does not loose connectivity from the internet and I can even access it remotely from an external internet connection. However, none of my devices can't load or ping websites and the issue happens exactly every 30 minutes. Other internet related services still work, such as Skype on my computers and Whatsapp on the phones. It's like only web browsing is affected by this issue.

The issue is only with my cable internet since I can use my cellphone hotspot for hours without any problems.

I've opened numerous support tickets with my ISP and nothing seems to resolve the issue: They have changes all the connectors and cables in and outside of the house, they replaced the cable box, changed to a different brand of cable box and I'm still having the issue.

The issue happens with wired and wireless clients so it is not a wifi related problem. I've increased the leased time to 999999 seconds which is the maximum time I can set it to, and it didn't help.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

What kind of configuration changes have you done to the router/modem? If you haven't already, try to forward port 80 and see what happens. If skype and WhatsApp are working just fine and it is just internet browsing that goes down, something tells a specific ports is being shut down every 30 mins. The only thing about this that makes me think it is not is that both skype and the internet browsing use port 80 and 443.

Do you have QOS services enabled on your router? Have you tried to manually reset the router back to factory default? If it is not isolated to just wifi or cable connections then the problem is with the modem or router. are both device fairly new?

Thank you for your reply. I am on my third cable modem after I noticed the issue. My isp replaced the original one with another one same model and then exchanged it again with another one of a different model.all three boxes have been reset to factory settings and all were on the latest firmware.

I can try to forward port 80, but I can only forward the port to a single device on my network, so even if it works, it would only solve the issue for one of my devices and the others will still continue to have issues. I have also realized that when the issue occurs I cannot ping any website either to is domain name or it's IP address so it does not seem exclusively an issue with port 80 since ICMP doesn't use TCP/UDP ports.
