Hello everyone.
Ok, i dont know whats going on. i was connected to my wifi wireless, and i was getting incredible ping spikes. after several months of trying fixes and stuff i decided to buy a 100ft ethernet cat5e through ebay for 5.99, seemed like a good deal. After 2 days of perfect connection, not a single problem. today about 2 hours ago, it started connecting and disconnecting, but it disconnects for a instant every 30 seconds or so.
I called cox (my internet provider) they sent a "signal" to my modem to try to fix it, but it didn't do anything really. When it disconnects, the little icon of a monitor with a cable on the right lower corner of the screen goes to a monitor with a x in a red circle.
I tried running the Microsoft trouble shooter, but it doesn't detect any problems, i am suspecting that it might be the cheap cable? i really have no idea what else could it be.
Any ideas would be of great help.
Thank you very much

Ill go buy a better cable to best buy or something with a warranty rather than from best buy and try it out.
and yes i do have the latest lan drivers from the mobo.
Thanks for the help, i will update if it resolves the problem the cable
