Internet Connection Sharing Not Working

Hi everyone! I recently setup a new PC but I haven't got a wifi card yet. In the meantime I thought I would use internet connection sharing through my laptop. I have connected the laptop and the pc and enabled sharing on the laptop's wifi connection but I can't connect on the PC.

In Network Connections on the laptop there are two connections, "Ethernet" and "Wi-Fi". For some reason Local Area Connection does not appear on either computer.
In Network Connections on the PC there is one connection, "Ethernet".

When I try to diagnose the Ethernet connection on the PC, it says 'Ethernet' doesn't have a valid IP configuration'.
I have tried ipconfig /renew, ipconfig /flushdns and I have tried reinstalling all drivers, but i can't get the darn thing to work - I would love your help.
(yay first post)
Thanks
August

I had to do this one time before when my PCs NIC gt fried. Anyway on your laptop go to "View Network Connection" (windows search) select the wifi connection and the ethernet connection directly from your laptop to your PC. Making sure they are both selected rightclick on one of them and press "Bridge connections". There may be a setup dialog but im sure you can handle it 😉
