Internet connection stopped working overnight

Basically I started my pc this morning and my internet has stopped working. It will no longer connect, works fine on all phones and laptops in the house.

I noticed it was trying to connect through avast secureline or something similar, so I uninstalled avast to no avail.

Aftet troubleshooting, I am now getting a message saying "Intel Ethernet Connection (2) I218-V adapter is experiencing driver or hardware related problems"

"The wired network adapter is experiencing some problems"

I can share any other information which would be useful

Should also add that it was working fine when I went to bed last night

Solution:

As ridiculous as it sounds, after re-installing all drivers, reinstalling disabling & enabling internet, updating BIOS, updating Windows, disabling firewalls etc etc.... I turned off & unplugged my PC for half an hour, came back from a walk and it's working perfectly again with 0 issues.
