Hi there,
some days ago I noticed that I could only connect to Google and YouTube on my PC. The other sites or programs that needed Internet didn't work. I don't think the problem is from Chrome, 'cause Internet Explorer has the same issue and I never really use Explorer. My PC uses an Ethernet cable, which connects to the router. The router itself connects to an Optical Fiber Router, which I got from my ISP when they installed Optical Fiber in my house. Now, the interesting fact is that other devices connected to the Internet through Wi-Fi have no problem with the Internet, at all, so the problem must be from the PC. I googled it and tried different methods.
Some of them are:
-Disabling WMM from Network Admin Panel (192.168.0.1);
-Running an AdwCleaner and ComboFix scan;
-in the CMD, some network resets with /netsh ... and /int ... as I found on one YouTube video;
-changing the DNS in Network and Sharing Center->Properties->IPv4;
The DNS method worked, but only after restarting my PC and held for some hours, until the problem came back. Tried contacting my ISP, they said it isn't their problem, 'cause the Internet works on other devices.
Here are some of my specs ^-^:
-ISP: Rds&RCS, Romania;
-Windows 7 Ultimate Service Pack 1 64-bit;
-Intel Core i3 2120 CPU 3.30ghz;
-My router: N 300Mbps TP-LINK TL-WR841N;
-NVidia GTX 960 2GB;
-8 GB RAM;
-GPU MSI MS-7740;
If you need other details feel free to ask :3
