Internet Constantly Disconnecting

My internet connection at night time always starts to slow down and it would constantly work then give me a Request timed out error. I don't know if it's my ARRIS Modem or my Dlink router and when i try troubleshooting the problem it says the connection to the router and cable is broken when it's perfectly fine.

1. make sure your router main password is not the default one.
2. under wifi security make sure your using at lest a wep/wpa key. if not you may have leachers overloading the router.
3. when the issue pop up try pluging just the modem into a hard wired pc see if the error pops up. if it does power cycle the modem see if the error still there. it can be the modem or bad isp hardware. try using open dns or google dns see if the issue stops. if it does call your isp and log in a complaint.

What do you mean by just plugging the modem into a hard wired pc? like use an ethernet cable?

yes use an ethernet cable and see if the error the modem or the router.

I still get an error but now i found out what was the problem it was the driver
