Ok so recently i have been having an issue with my Internet connection both direct Ethernet to my computer and wireless. Every say 10-15 minutes the internet all of a sudden stops working. Just drops dead on the spot. Im still connected to the network but no data is being received. After say a couple of minutes the internet comes back on and it stays in this vicious cycle of dropping in and out. The internet connection icon near the bottom right of the screen displays a yellow caution sign and says i have limited/no internet access. I went into network setting and ran a windows diagnostic and the diagnostic displayed the issue as follows "Your computer appears to be correctly configured, but the device or resource (DNS server) is not responding" I dont know exactly what this means or how i should proceed. This issue is absolutely aggravating and this will make playing online games impossible if the connection drops non stop. As i typed this the connection has already dropped once again.

My internet service provider is Charter. I have the general home internet plan.

I do indeed have my own router. Made by Cisco. So far i have unplugged both the router and modem for 1 min to see if it would fix anything. It did not. I then manually flushed the DNS cache via the command prompt as suggested by wikiHow. So far still waiting to see if that fixed it or not. so far no drops yet.
