Internet disconnects when doing certain things

HI,

I have had an issue for a long time now and it's starting to annoy me so I'm going to try and fix it.

Basically my internet disconnects on one certain PC when I watch a long youtube video about halfway through (the internet is still fine on my other devices). I have done a little research and everything points to antivirus. I have turned my antivirus off completely but it still happens. Does anyone have a solution for this?

I use Malwarebytes for my security if this helps.

Ok, I have fixed it. im only posting again in the hope that someone with a similar issue in the future finds this thread and the answer they are looking for!

Go to device manager then network adapters. Right click your adapter and choose properties. Click on Power management and untick the box that reads 'Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power'.

It seems the computer was turning off my network adapter to save power thinking I was not using the PC as I hadn't touched the keyboard or mouse and just left the video playing. Hope this helps someone!
